I grew up in Sweden and graduated as a dentist in Gothenburg year 1991. My family; husband Steven(Croatian/Swedish) and two boys Victor 19 years and Oscar 18 years moved with me to England in year 2000. We love the contrast and priviledge of being near the English countryside with it's sheep scattered all around and then the highoctane hustle and bustle in London when we, at some special occasions, feel like going to but mostly we are very happy with our peaceful life in Horsham where we live.
I have been a dentist for over 26 years now and even though I have always kept up to date with new dental treatment procedures and materials on the market I still feel as excited about it now as I did when I just graduated. I believe in the slogan: "we learn as long as we live" and I have worked really hard to be able to give my patients the highest quality of care at all times.
My dentist career began 1991 in the south of Sweden, a small place called Tibro where I did my vocational training and where I was asked if I could stay on, which I did for a while, but as it was a very remote small town far away from my family I chose to move back to Gothenburg. As Sweden at the time had to many educated dentists it was hard to get work in the big cities so in the end I chose to move to Lappland, the northern part of Sweden. For 2 years I literally lived 30miles south of the northern polar circle! It was here that I got vast experience in dealing with all kinds of complex dental cases and the patients were very grateful for any help that they could get closer to home instead of having to drive 3-4 hours through the snow to the nearest specialist dental hospital. Two years later I was quite homesick and decided to move back to Gothenburg where I opened my own dental practice in the annex to my parents house, which was great because my mother could baby-sit whilst I was working and I could see my baby at lunch time! I only worked part time then.
In England my career began in year 2000 in Crawley, with a short episode at the Hollybush Road Dental Practice and then from Oct 2001 at the Crabtree Road Dental Practice where I worked as an associate the first 3 years.
2004 I purchased my Goodwill (patient list) from the owner at the Crabtree Road Dental Practice and during 2004-2012 I worked there as a Co-expense sharing Principal gradually building and increasing my patient list mainly by word of mouth recommendation amongst family and friends to my already existing patients.
-From 1 of July 2012 relocated with my patients to the Pembroke Dental & Implant Centre due to personal reasons.
-From 1 of November 2013 I started working at FORESTMEAD DENTAL PRACTICE in Horsham where I am closer to home.
-From June 2017 I became principal at Forestmead Dental Surgery!
In my spare time I like to travel, cook, bake and read dental litterature as well as autobiographies. I am also very interested in fashion and photography and have a hidden talent in pottery and dryflower arrangements! When on holiday it only counts if there is a beach in sight.
